Corey Perry Signs One-Year, $4 Million Pact With Blackhawks
1 year agoChicago Blackhawks right wing Corey Perry has signed a $4 million deal for next season. Chicago acquired the rights to the veteran from Tampa Bay for a seventh-round draft pick on Thursday and was able to get him on a one-year contract before Perry hit unrestricted free agency. The deal will take Perry into his 19th NHL campaign. He averaged a career-low 0.31 points per game last season and shouldn't be seen as an attractive fantasy piece anymore. But the 38-year-old will definitely be a good mentor for the younger players on the team, along with Nick Foligno, who signed a similar deal with Chicago this week.
