San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama said that he expects to play "a game or two" during the Summer League in Las Vegas. As reported by Andrew Lopez of ESPN, the Spurs new rookie deciding that he will play is a bit of surprising news. Wembanyama has been the highest touted prospect since LeBron James and risking his health during summer league seemed like something that wasn't going to happen. It remains to be seen how many minutes he actually plays, but the basketball world will get a look at his game against other rookies and prospects earlier than expected.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (illness) is considered doubtful for Thursday's clash against the Phoenix Suns. After appearing in his first All-Star Game, Wembanyama has landed on the injury report with an illness bug. If he doesn't recover in time for Thursday's game, the Spurs will be without Wembanyama for the seventh time this season. His most recent absence occurred on Feb. 1 against the Miami Heat. Charles Bassey (knee) took his place in the starting lineup for that game, but he has since been sidelined with an MCL sprain. Wembanyama's absence on Thursday may allow Jeremy Sochan to return to the starting unit, while Sandro Mamukelashvili and Bismack Biyombo are also potential options to take on a heavier workload.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (illness) has been cleared to return to action on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies. An illness kept Wembanyama out from Saturday's matchup against the Miami Heat, but he is ready to return on Monday after receiving an upgrade from questionable to available. Wembanyama is on a seven-game double-double streak and has exploded for a pair of 30-point games lately. However, with former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. in their lineup, the Grizzlies have limited the French star to 16.0 points on 34.2 percent shooting this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He dropped out of the lineup on Saturday against the Miami Heat due to an illness and may be forced to miss a second consecutive game. Charles Bassey started in Wembanyama's place and produced a decent showing. He gobbled up 15 rebounds while notching nine points with one block in 27 minutes. At the same time, Devin Vassell played a larger role offensively, taking 22 shots, while his season average is 14 shot attempts per game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (back) will return from a two-game absence on Sunday against New Orleans. A back problem has kept Wembanyama on the sidelines for a couple of games, but he's good to go again on Sunday in a juicy matchup. The Pelicans have a weak frontcourt, resulting in the team allowing the ninth-most fantasy points in the league to opposing centers. Wembanyama will head out for his fourth consecutive double-double, and his recent work also includes a triple-double.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
