2 years agoMax Griffin (19-9) is coming off a decision win over Tim Means and is 4-1 in his last five fights, but he will now face undefeated prospect Michael Morales at UFC Vegas 76 on Saturday. Griffin is 7-7 in the UFC, but of late has been fighting veterans like Means, Neil Magny and Carlos Condit, so he said he feels disrespected that he's facing Morales. Griffin enters the fight as a sizeable underdog, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,200. In his UFC career, Griffin is averaging 67.86 fantasy points per fight. Griffin is extremely durable -- In his seven UFC losses, he has only been finished once while only finishing three of his seven UFC wins by stoppage.--Cole Shelton

2 years agoIn the biggest victory of his career thus far, Max Griffin earned a split decision over long-time veteran Tim Means in Saturday's co-main event of action. In 15 minutes of action, Griffin tallied 42 significant strikes (56 total strikes) and was out-struck in the total-strikes department by 87. Griffin also earned three takedowns on six tries, including a big knockdown in the first round. The veteran Means fought back but was unable to overtake Griffin on the judges' scorecards. The win gives Griffin four wins in his last five contests and has him set to continue to see tougher competition.--Matt Bricker

2 years agoMax Griffin (18-9) will enter Saturday's co-main event looking to get back to his winning ways after losing a close split decision to the top-tiered Neil Magny. Prior to his loss, Griffin was on a three-fight winning streak. DraftKings shows Pain as the sizeable favorite with a salary of $8,800. Throughout his UFC career, Griffin averages 66.6 fantasy points per contest. Though Griffin may pull out a victory, it will probably be much closer than the odds have it right now. Half (nine) of his career wins have come by knockout/TKO, with an additional seven wins by decision.--Matt Bricker

3 years agoPreviously on a three-fight winning streak and hoping to make it four in a row, Max Griffin fell just short on Saturday by dropping a split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) to Neil Magny on the main card of the Columbus event. In 15 minutes of action, Griffin tallied 67 significant strikes (75 total strikes) and missed on both of his takedown tries. Griffin did have some bright spots in the contest, including a nice knockdown with a big right hand in the first round. Griffin won two of his three fights on his last streak via finish, and there is no reason to believe he cannot pick up where he left off when he gets back into the Octagon.--Matt Bricker
