Jose Urquidy Throws Again Tuesday
1 year agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jose Urquidy (shoulder) tossed another bullpen on Tuesday and had no issues after throwing a bullpen on Saturday. According to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com, the right-hander will throw one more bullpen before he starts to face hitters. Urquidy has been out of action since April 30 after experiencing shoulder inflammation and hitting the injured list. Prior to the injury, the 28-year-old posted a 5.20 ERA and 1.55 WHIP with 23 punchouts across 27.2 innings of work. Urquidy's fantasy value has always been mediocre, thanks to a career 20.1% career strikeout rate, but he pitches for a solid Astros team and has always been good in the run prevention department. Fantasy managers can expect to have him back in mid-to-late July.
