Patton Kizzire Offers Limited Upside In Detroit
1 year agoPatton Kizzire will be teeing it off at Detroit Country Club for the fifth straight year but offers very limited upside in fantasy lineups. There will be a major premium on off-the-tee performance this week, and he ranks 116th in the field in that category over the last 36 rounds. Kizzire has lost strokes off the tee and in ball-striking in all four of his previous starts here, including two missed cuts, a T25 in 2021 and a 74th-place finish last year. His recent form paints a similar picture with missed cuts in three of his last six PGA Tour starts and zero finishes inside of the top 30. There is a bevy of golfers priced at $7,000 on DraftKings this week, and fantasy managers will be better served pivoting from Kizzire to higher-upside golfers with better recent form such as Carson Young and Kevin Yu.
