Taylor Hall Traded To Chicago
1 year agoThe Chicago Blackhawks acquired Taylor Hall in a trade with the Boston Bruins on Monday. He was traded to the Windy City along with pending unrestricted free agent Nick Foligno in exchange for Ian Mitchell and Alec Regula, who are pending restricted free agents. The Bruins opened up a nice chunk of cap space with the move and now have nearly $11 million to work with. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks picked up a former MVP to play with likely No. 1 draft pick Connor Bedard. Hall is only five years removed from winning the Hart Memorial Trophy, but he continues to bounce around in the league and now finds himself playing for a fifth different team in five seasons. The 31-year-old had a miserable year in 2022-23 with only 36 points in 61 games, but he is now nicely placed for a good bounce-back campaign, with Hall having a chance to play in a bigger role and linking up with a generational talent.
