1 year agoChase Elliott did not have the best qualifying effort and started 14th on Sunday night. Add in plenty of lap traffic and it was hard for Elliott to get in a contending position. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver led one lap as the No. 9 car was one of three Hendrick cars in the top six. Elliott benefitted from other cars and restarts last year but was not meant to be on Sunday. Next week could be more ideal with the debut of the Chicago road course. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
