Ross Chastain Has Huge Advantage At Nashville
1 year agoRoss Chastain earned his first career pole this weekend, with a blazing fast lap in qualifying on Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway. Chastain put down a lap of 29.797 seconds, which was over two-tenths of a second faster than 2nd-place qualifier, Tyler Reddick. With this pole win, Chastain will also have a big advantage when it comes to pit stops, as he will be pitting from the first pit box on pit road. Track position will be very important at Nashville on Sunday evening, and Chastain's pit crew has been one of the fastest all season long. If they're able to maintain that speed and help Ross maintain or earn spots on pit road, we could just see him snap his winless streak this weekend.
