Pistons To Make A Push For Cameron Johnson?
1 year agoAccording to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Pistons may make a strong push to sign forward Cameron Johnson. The 27-year-old is coming off an eventful season. He underwent knee surgery in November and missed a few months. He was also traded to Brooklyn ahead of the deadline (along with Mikal Bridges) in the deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Suns. In 25 regular season games with the Nets, Johnson averaged a career-high 16.6 points, although he shot 37.2% from deep, a drop from his time in Phoenix. Nonetheless, the Nets will have the right to match any offers, considering the former Tar Heel will be a restricted free agent. But Detroit may have the cash needed to get a deal done.
