Jeff McNeil Not Starting On Saturday
1 year agoNew York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil (wrist) isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's meeting with Philadelphia. He's dealing with a sore left wrist after injuring it during the series opener on Friday, and it's still unknown if he'll be available off the bench. The 31-year-old is batting .264, a sharp decline from last season, with 71 hits, three homers, 21 RBI, and four stolen bases. However, McNeil has played even worse in June. But hopefully, a day off will do him some good, with Luis Guillorme expected to replace him at the keystone.
