Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Friday, June 23, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Zach Eflin less than 6.0 strikeouts
Yesterday was an awful day for pitcher props, but let's see if we can get off on the right foot today with Eflin. This number is a tad too high given the matchup. He has only struck out more than six in five starts this season and has done it just once in his previous five. Kansas City has been striking out at a clip of 21.1% vs. righties over the previous two weeks, which is ranked in the better half of baseball over that span.
Joey Wentz more than 5.0 strikeouts
This could be a trap given that Wentz just faced the Twins (and we were on him), but he managed to strike out a career-high nine of them. The Twins have struggled vs left-handers regularly and are posting a lowly 64 wRC+ over the previous two weeks. They are also posting a 27.5% K rate vs. lefties over that same span, which is ranked seventh-worst in the league.
Brayan Bello more than 5.0 strikeouts
Bello has exceeded this total in three of his previous six starts and matched it in a fourth. The matchup vs. the White Sox is juicy as well. Over the previous two weeks, Chicago is posting the fourth-highest K rate vs. right-handers with a rate of 26.6%. They are also posting a sub-100 wRC+ mark and a walk rate below 8%, both of which could help Bello last in this one as he has gone at least six innings pitched in each of his previous three starts.
Kyle Gison more than 5.0 strikeouts
Gibson has struck out seven batters in two of his previous three starts, both of which came against offenses that are striking out at a rate in the top half of baseball over the previous two weeks. Enter the Mariners, who are currently posting a 25.1% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which ranks sixth-worst in baseball. This game will also be played at Camden Yards, which is good news for Gibson as he has a 2.1 higher K/9 here than on the road.
