J.P. Crawford Out On Thursday
1 year agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (shoulder) is not in the team's starting lineup on Thursday as they face the New York Yankees in the Bronx. Crawford injured his shoulder on Tuesday and left the game early. He hasn't played since, but the injury is considered to be minor and he's hoping to be back in the lineup at some point this weekend against the Baltimore Orioles. He's really struggled this month -- .196 average, one homer, two RBI, 10 K's in 14 games -- and is hitting only .239 (57-for-238) with four home runs and one stolen base on the season as a whole. Jose Caballero will start at shortstop for the M's on Thursday and bat eighth in the lineup against Yankees right-hander Domingo German.
