Mike Gesicki Could Be A Great Fit In New England
1 year agoPatriots.com's Evan Lazar writes that New England Patriots tight end Mike Gesicki was great to watch during spring workouts. He is a natural pass-catcher and a fluid mover despite his size at 6-foot-6, 245 pounds. Gesicki can run the seam, win foot races across the field, has a large catch radius, and surprised Lazar with his ability to shake defenders at the top of his routes. New offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien is unlocking Gesicki and Hunter Henry by isolating them in favorable matchups. The duo has tons of potential in 2023. Because Henry is the better blocker, Gesicki will likely have slightly more fantasy upside after a disappointing 2022 in his final year in Miami. The Pats figure to use multiple-TE sets often, but the team's tight ends only managed to find the end zone twice all of last year.
