Dallas Keuchel Signs Minor-League Deal With Twins
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins are signing free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel to a minor-league deal on Thursday. The Twins are throwing a flier out there on Keuchel, who hasn't pitched in the majors since last September with the Texas Rangers. He pitched for the Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox last year and was not effective at all with a 9.20 ERA (5.52 FIP), 2.06 WHIP and 14.9 percent strikeout rate in 60 2/3 innings over 14 starts. The two-time All-Star has fallen on hard times in the last few seasons after last pitching well for the White Sox in the COVID-shortened 2020 season. The 35-year-old southpaw will need to pitch well in the minors to have any kind of shot at pitching for Minnesota in the second half of 2023. Continue ignoring him in fantasy.
