Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, June 22, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Logan Allen more than 5.5 strikeouts
Allen has a great matchup for left-handers today as he will be up against an Oakland lineup that is posting a 31.4% K rate vs. lefties over the previous two weeks, which is ranked the worst in baseball. They are also posting an abysmal 68 wRC+ mark vs. lefties over that same span.
Shane McClanahan more than 7.0 strikeouts
Although McClanahan has failed to reach this total in each of his previous three starts, he has reached or exceeded it in seven starts this season. The matchup against the Royals tonight is solid as well. Over the previous two weeks, Kansas City is posting the 10th-highest K rate vs. left-handers with a rate of 25%. They are also posting just a 79 wRC+ mark over this same span. It should also be noted that McClanahan is posting a 10.8 K/9 at home, which is nearly two strikeouts higher than his road numbers.
Blake Snell less than 7.0 strikeouts
This is definitely risky as Snell has been on fire, striking out 12 in each of his previous two starts. That being said, the matchup against the Giants will not be an easy one. Over the previous two weeks, the Giants are posting just a 22% K rate vs. lefties, which is in the top half of the league. They are also posting the best wRC+ mark vs. lefties over that span with a mark 0f 144.
Tommy Henry less than 4.0 strikeouts
Henry has failed to strike out four or more in all but four starts this season. He has a tough matchup against Washington, who has been near the bottom of the K charts vs. lefties this season and are currently posting a rate of 22.8% over the previous two weeks. This game will also be on the road where Henry has posted an ugly 6.75 ERA compared to a sub-4.00 ERA at home.
