Carlos Rodon Strikes Out Five In Rehab Start
1 year agoNew York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (back, forearm) took the loss but had a nice showing in his first minor-league rehab start on Tuesday for Double-A Somerset, allowing a run on one hit while walking one and striking out five in three innings. The 30-year-old All-Star hadn't pitched in a game since injuring his left forearm in spring training. It was a nice first step, but after all this time off, Rodon is going to need at least several more rehab starts to get his arm built back up. He said he will likely make his next start this Sunday. Barring any setbacks in the minors, fantasy managers should get Rodon back in early July before the All-Star break. When healthy, he's proven to have fantasy ace potential with high strikeout rates.
