Marcus Morris Sr. Unhappy With Role Change
1 year agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. was reportedly unhappy with his role. More specifically, the Clippers’ decision to bench him in favor of Nicolas Batum at the end of the year. Even though the forward has more left in the tank, he saw a decline in production last season. This was one of the reasons that sparked the late-season lineup change. Morris averaged 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 65 games last season. The Clippers will look for ways to improve moving ahead, but it could be very difficult. They are already in a tough spot financially, so they could look to move Morris, who is due $17.1 million in 2023-24.
