Hakeem Butler Could Be Perfect Fit As A Field-Stretcher
1 year agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hakeem Butler dominated in the XFL and has the look of a big-time receiver with his body structure and ability to get down the field and make contested catches. He could be a perfect fit in a field-stretching role for the Steelers this year. The Athletic's Mark Kaboly writes that Butler did enough over the past four weeks of offseason practices to be one to watch when the team heads to training camp at the end of July. The one thing working against him to make the final roster is the fact that he lacks special teams abilities. The 27-year-old was a former fourth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2019 out of Iowa State. Butler played in only two games and didn't have a single catch in 2020 with the Philadelphia Eagles.
