Lance Lynn Notches 16 Strikeouts
1 year agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn looked unhittable throughout most of Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The right-hander delivered a dominant performance in a losing effort. Lynn struck out a career-high 16 batters over seven innings of work. Those 16 punchouts matched a White Sox' franchise record set by Jack Harshman in 1954. Lynn did end up giving up three earned runs on Sunday, but looked incredible throughout most of the game. He has been inconsistent this season as he holds a 6.51 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 102/33 K/BB over 15 starts. His next start will be against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.
