1 year agoCincinnati Reds first base prospect Christian Encarnacion-Strand went 1-for-3 with a double and two walks on Tuesday for Triple-A Louisville. The double would be his 14th of the season. Encarnacion-Strand had a phenomenal spring and has followed that up with a red-hot season for Louisville. On the season, the 23-year-old has hit a shiny .361 with 17 homers and 46 RBI over 180 at-bats. With the Reds in a full rebuild, it has been head scratching as to what more CES must prove to the team for a promotion. With the Reds seeming to pass him up for every chance they have to promote him, it's questionable to when he could receive a promotion, but he has certainly earned it.
