Colton Cowser Hasn't Missed A Beat Since Return
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles outfield prospect Colton Cowser has gone 5-for-17 with one home run and three RBI for Triple-A Norfolk since returning from a quad injury on June 3. Cowser was on the cusp of a promotion before an injury to Cedric Mullins (groin) and continues to be close to making his big-league debut. Veteran outfielder Aaron Hicks has surprisingly been swinging a hot bat after being picked up to replace Mullins, but he is sure to regress eventually. Cowser, 23, has not only proven plenty for Triple-A Norfolk this season, but also offers much more upside for the competitive Orioles. On the year, the left-handed hitter is hitting .327 with eight home runs, 31 RBI and five stolen bases to go along with sparkly 1.024 OPS. Cowser appears to be in the red zone for his big-league debut and now would be a good time for managers in redraft leagues to consider stashing the young talent.
