Flames Getting Calls On Noah Hanifin
2 years agoCalgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin could be on the move this offseason, with Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reporting that teams have begun to ask the Flames about their plans with him. Hanifin is set to become an unrestricted free agent next season as he's about to enter the final year of a six-year deal that carries a $4.95 million cap hit. The 26-year-old had another solid season in Calgary, posting 38 points in 81 games with 176 shots on net, 76 hits and 129 blocks, but the Flames have a new general manager in charge in Craig Conroy and he could be looking to shake things up in a major way following the team's failure to make the playoffs for the second time in three years.
