1 year agoTy Gibbs was among five Toyota cars qualifying in the top eight spots for Sunday's race at Sonoma. There was some drop-off in their speed on longer runs but short runs were mostly led by Toyota. Gibbs has never raced at this level on the California track but the former Xfinity driver knows his way around the 1.99-mile track. The feeling there is enough cautions could muck up the race for a driver like Gibbs. He could hang around the front barring a mechanical or pit issue. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
