Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Zach Eflin more than 5.5 strikeouts
Eflin has the dream matchup tonight against the Twins. Over the previous two weeks, Minnesota is striking out at a clip of 31.7% vs. right-handed pitchers, which is ranked worst in the league over that span. Meanwhile, Eflin has struck out at least six in four starts this season. This should be another one of those starts.
Logan Gilbert more than 5.5 strikeouts
Gilbert has a matchup against the Padres tonight, who have fluctuated in terms of K rate thus far in 2023. Currently, they are posting a K rate of nearly 23% vs. righties over the previous two weeks. Gilbert has been phenomenal as he has struck out at least six in nine of his 11 starts on the season. Gilbert has also been solid on the road as he has posted a 10.3 K/9 thus far in 2023.
Jesus Luzardo more than 7.0 strikeouts
This is a tad risky but also has a solid shot of getting there. Luzardo has struck out at least seven in each of his previous four starts and has a solid matchup tonight against the Royals. Over the previous two weeks, the Royals have posted a 26.4% K rate vs. left-handers, which ranks sixth-worst in the league over that span. They have also paired this with a lackluster walk rate of just 6.6% and wRC+ mark of just 89. Luzardo has also posted a 10.9 K/9 at home this season.
Kevin Gausman more than 7.0 strikeouts
The matchup here is a bit tough, but that is why we are getting a bit of a discount on Gausman against the Astros. While Houston has been good in terms of K rate, they are still posting a rate north of 20% vs. righties over the previous two weeks, which should be high enough for Gausman to hit here. After all, he has struck out at least eight in four of his previous five starts and in seven starts this season. It should be noted that he only managed to mow down five Astros in his last start against them in Houston, but he has been much more solid at home with his 1.72 ERA and 12.0 K/9.
