Kyle Hendricks Takes The Loss On Monday
2 years agoChicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Kyle Hendricks took the loss on Monday when he allowed four runs on six hits to go along with four strikeouts over six innings a 5-0 loss to the San Diego Padres. On the plus side, Hendricks didn't issue a free pass but on the downside, he coughed up four runs. His big mistake was serving up a two-run homer to Gary Sanchez in the bottom of the second inning, which was more than enough to saddle him with the loss. It wasn't an overly impressive performance but it wasn't a horrible one either. The 33-year-old hurler is still searching for his first victory of the season and will carry a 4.70 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and 12:5 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings (three starts) into his next turn against the Giants in San Francisco on Saturday.
