Adam Duvall Injury Update
Duvall fractured his wrist, requiring immediate shutdown of baseball activities until he could remove his cast. Around a month after his injury, the cast was removed, and strength training began. After a few weeks of building up strength, Duvall began his Triple-A assignment.
The 34-year-old took a few games to shake off the rust, going hitless in his first two games, but he eventually found his timing. Duvall spent a week playing in Triple-A and found his power stroke, hitting two home runs in his last three games.
Following his return to health and strong performance in the minors, the Boston Red Sox are ready to activate Duvall from the injured list on Friday against the New York Yankees.
Adam Duvall Fantasy Baseball Outlook
Duvall is set to face the New York Yankees on Friday, June 9. The Red Sox and fantasy managers hope Duvall will be able to pick up where he left off to start the year.
Duvall's wrist appears completely healthy, and his play in Triple-A reassures that. The veteran slugger has always dealt with injuries in his career but has been very productive when healthy. Fantasy managers who roster him should be excited, and those in leagues where he is available should consider adding him.
