2 years agoDaniel Suarez qualified 13th for the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. He was not content to stay there, though, and managed to move up to 10th by the end of Stage 1. However, running in the top 10 was still not enough for him on Sunday. He continued the momentum into Stage 2 and took the green and white checkered flag in fifth place. On a day when passing was at a premium, he remained consistent on the track and on pit row to maintain his track position. Driving a clean race helped him to finish seventh, his sixth top-10 finish of the season.--Eric DeWilde
