2 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Bob Melvin said that infielder Rougned Odor (groin) is dealing with a left-groin strain and is expected to land on the injured list on Saturday. "He gives us length in the lineup, has been great for us," Melvin said. "So, if you lose him for a significant period of time, it's going to hurt." Odor suffered the injury in Friday night's 2-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs and is likely to be out for at least the next 10 days or so. With the veteran left-handed slugger hurt, expect Ha-Seong Kim to return as the starter at second base moving forward. Odor has hit just .216 (19-for-88) on the season, but he had recently begun to heat up by going 11-for-35 (.314) with four doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI in his last 10 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
