Leody Taveras Triples In Wednesday's Loss
2 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras went 1-for-4 with a triple in the Rangers' 3-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday. Taveras finished the month of May with a .368 average and two home runs after a quiet April that saw him hit .204 with no home runs. With playing time in the Rangers outfield up for grabs, it seems like Taveras has seized an everyday job, at least for the time being. Taveras stole 11 bases in 99 games last year and already has five steals in 42 games this year. In his fourth season in the majors, Taveras is on track to set career-highs in all five rotisserie categories if he can even come close to keeping this up.
