1 year agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Ben Joyce has been called up to the major league roster. The hard-throwing right-hander will take the spot of Matt Moore (oblique) on the active roster. Joyce is a third-round pick of the Angels who has been pitching in Double-A Rocket City this season. He holds a 4.60 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 24/13 K/BB ratio across 14 appearances this season. The flame-throwing right-hander has terrific stuff and could be a future closer for the organization. The expectation is that Joyce is going to start out by pitching in low-leverage spots out of the bullpen. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on him going forward.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
