Christian Walker Logs Single In Saturday's Loss
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox. The 32-year-old wasn't involved in the run-scoring, but his hit improved his average on the season to .245. He's consistently hitting around the .240 mark, evidenced by his .242 batting average last year and .244 two years ago. Walker is slashing .245/.307/.478 with 11 home runs, 34 RBI, 28 runs, and a stolen base over 205 plate appearances in 2023. He showed he was a prodigious power hitter last year by blasting 36 home runs. Walker derives fantasy value from his elite power and ability to drive in runs. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Walker in most league formats.
