1 year agoWashington Nationals top prospect James Wood went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and three RBI for the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Thursday. Wood's three-hit performance was his second in as many days and his third multi-hit game in a row. Wood is slashing .293/.390/.565 in High-A with seven home runs, nine doubles, and seven stolen bases. The top prospect in the Nationals system may not be close to the majors yet, but if he keeps up this level of production, a promotion to Double-A may be coming soon.
