NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 5/27/23
During the NHL playoff games, scoring tends to be low, and physicality is heightened. As a result, teams with a knack for goal-scoring become more cautious and selective with their shots. I'll provide you with guidance for the DraftKings and FanDuel showdown slate starting at 8:00 p.m. EST to help you navigate through this intense matchup.

Playoff Series Standings
Vegas Golden Knights 3 vs. Dallas Stars 1
Captain
Jonathan Marchessault - DK $13.2K || FD $13.0K
Marchessault continues to cruise through the playoffs, having recorded eight goals, four assists, 45 shots on goal, and 24 hits in his last 10 games. He's been instrumental in driving the success of Vegas' top line. Considering his offensive output, Marchessault is a recommended option to add to your lineup if you decide to go with a Vegas stack in Game 5.
Jack Eichel - DK $14.7K || FD $15.0K
The Golden Knights centerman has delivered assists in three consecutive games and registered three goals and nine assists in the last 10 contests. He's on the team's top line partnered with skilled wings Jonathan Marchessault, who has notched six goals in the past five games, and Ivan Barbashev. Moreover, he joins forces on the first power play unit with winger Mark Stone, who has accumulated 13 points in eight home playoff games. Leading the way for Vegas, Eichel has emerged as the team's primary playmaker, topping the assists chart with 11 and tallying 17 points in 15 postseason contests.
Jason Robertson - DK $15.3K || FD $16.0K
Jason Robertson continues to prove his worth, scoring two goals, logging two hits, and two blocked shots while producing an incredible 10 shots on goal In Game 4. He's registered two goals and five assists in eight road games this postseason which is good news since Game 5 is in Vegas. Once again, he is slightly cheaper than linemate Roope Hintz for those playing DraftKings.
Value Plays
Ivan Barbashev - DK $5.4K || FD $7.5K
Once again, Barbashev is a great value option for Saturday. The forward now has 13 points in 15 games in the playoffs. As I mentioned, he plays with center Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault, who leads the team in shots on goal with 57. In addition, Barbashev often partners up on the point with defenseman Alex Pietrangelo on the second power-play unit.
William Karlsson - DK $4.8K || FD $10.0K
Karlsson has been essential for Vegas' success over the last few years. He's notched three goals during the Western Conference Finals, bringing his total to eight markers and three assists in 15 playoff games. As a center, he has also recorded 33 shots on goal, 12 hits, and 13 blocked shots while maintaining a plus-6 rating and contributing crucial minutes in all game scenarios.
Wyatt Johnston - DK $6.6K || FD $8.5K
Johnston is a player that needs to step up with Jamie Benn (suspension) and Evgenii Dadonov (lower body) being out of the lineup for Game 5. Of course, the playoffs are a whole different monster, but the 20-year-old has proven he can put up points, as he had 24 goals and 17 assists in the regular season. He's also been seeing power play time on the Stars' second unit.
