It's time for Week 7 of USFL action. This season's just flying by, isn't it? We have a big game on Saturday as a pair of 4-2 teams meet as the Breakers "host" the Stallions in Birmingham. (Hopefully in the near future, we can get real home stadiums in this league. It deserves that because the on-field action is really good.)
With DraftKings offering USFL contests again this year, I'll be here every week with lineup picks for the league, covering the four-game slates every weekend.
Below, you'll find my thoughts on the Week 7 DFS slate of USFL contests on DraftKings, which goes live on 5/27/2023 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Be sure to also read all our other weekly XFL fantasy football articles. Let's get to it, and good luck RotoBallers!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 7 USFL DFS Picks
Cole Kelley - Memphis Showboats - vs Houston Gamblers - $9,000
The Showboats take on a Gamblers team that allows the most passing yards per game in the USFL, giving Cole Kelley some intriguing upside.
Kelley has started four games this season and while accuracy has been a concern—three games with a completion percentage under 60%—volume hasn't been, as he's thrown at least 24 passes in each game.
His volume plus the juicy matchup makes him a great play if you want to fade the higher-priced QBs this week, which this slate is kind of making me want to do.
Kyle Lauletta - New Jersey Generals - vs Michigan Panthers - $9,100
The Generals benched De'Andre Johnson last week, opting instead to go with Lauletta under center. And while the results weren't necessarily great, they weren't awful.
Lauletta threw 30 pass attempts and finished with 177 yards and a touchdown, plus he added 24 rushing yards. At $7,700, he's the cheapest QB that's playable on this slate, and I think there's something to say about that, especially if that can save you money and allow you to play both of the high-end running backs, though that requires a lot of sacrifices.
DraftKings Running Backs - Week 7 USFL DFS Picks
Mark Thompson - Houston Gamblers - vs Memphis Showboats - $12,200
Thompson continues to be one of the two elite running back options in this league alongside New Orleans' Wes Hills. I've been leaning Thompson's way a little more in fantasy because I like his touchdown upside more. For example, Thompson had one touchdown run last week. For most RBs, that's great! But for Thompson, it represented his lowest touchdown output in a single game all season.
When 19.0 fantasy points is your worst performance, well...that's a good sign. Thompson also just gets so much volume—22 carries and five targets last game.
This week, he faces a Memphis team that allows 105.2 rushing yards per game.
Madre London - Pittsburgh Maulers - vs Philadelphia Stars - $4,000
Alright, so this one is really risky, but the Stars allow the most rushing yards per game in the USFL, so I really want to find someone on the Maulers who I might be able to play at running back.
It's tough, because the team's leading rusher is its quarterback, Troy Wiliams. But Williams is risky to play as a QB, because he's had four games with zero touchdown passes. As far as an actual running back goes, Madre London has some appeal here, as he led the team in carries last week with five. He only produced 14 rushing yards, but I still think there's some upside against a Stars front that's given up 138.8 rushing yards per game.
DraftKings Wide Receivers and Tight Ends - Week 7 USFL DFS Picks
Justin Hall - Houston Gamblers - vs Memphis Showboats - $8,200
The Showboats allow the second-most passing yards per game, setting this up to be a game where neither team can stop the other through the air. I don't feel great about the Gamblers QB situation, but I do want some exposure to the passing attack there, which is why I'm turning to Justin Hall.
Hall's finished with double-digit fantasy points in four of the last five games, and while he hasn't found the end zone over the last three weeks, the chances are there because of his volume. He was targeted 10 times last week, catching six of those for 59 yards.
Alonzo Moore - New Jersey Generals - vs Michigan Panthers - $7,800
I like the idea of stacking this week—if I'm going all-in on a value QB, I might as well go all the way in by stacking with his top wideout, right? Increases the risk, but also increases the reward.
On the New Jersey side, Moore's my favorite stack with Lauletta. In Lauletta's first start, he targeted Moore six times, with five of those resulting in receptions. He finished with 44 yards and a touchdown. The team's other top wideout, Cam Echols-Luper, was only targeted twice.
Vinny Papale - Memphis Showboats - vs Houston Gamblers - $6,100
My Cole Kelley stack partner for this week is Vinny Papale. Honestly, I don't really love the pass-catching options in Memphis, but with the Gamblers allowing more passing yards per game than any other USFL team, someone's going to have a good outing, and Papale has the best shot at it. He's scored double-digit fantasy points in the last two games, and last week he caught his first touchdown of the season. He was targeted five times, catching three passes for 40 yards.
