Nolan Jones Expected To Be Promoted To The Big Leagues
2 years agoThe Colorado Rockies will likely promote outfielder Nolan Jones to the majors to replace Brenton Doyle (knee) on Friday. Doyle was carted off the field after crashing into the center field wall while attempting to rob a home run in the top of the ninth inning. Jones was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque by the Rockies in mid-April. The 25-year-old has posted impressive numbers in Triple-A, slashing .356/.481/.711 with 12 home runs, 42 RBI, 38 runs, and five stole bases over 187 plate appearances. Jones will look to build on his performance in Triple-A when the Rockies host the Mets on Friday. Fantasy managers in deep-league formats can look to add Jones, as he should see an uptick in at-bats while Doyle is sidelined.
