Veteran kick Brandon McManus was an undrafted free agent in 2013. McManus had a solid college career.
The veteran kicker spent four years at Temple. McManus made 96.9% of his extra-point attempts. However, the former Owl made only 72.3% of his field goal attempts in college.
McManus started his career in 2014 with the Denver Broncos. He only made 69.2% of his field goal attempts that year but all 41 extra-point attempts. However, the veteran kicker stuck around and became a solid starter in the NFL.

Is Brandon McManus A Free Agent?
Last year the former undrafted free agent made 28 of his 36 field goal attempts and 25 of 27 extra point attempts. However, McManus converted only 77.8% of his field goals last season, the third-lowest average of his career. The veteran kicker had made 80% of more of his attempts each of the previous for seasons.
Unfortunately, McManus’ struggles last year played a role in the Broncos releasing the kicker. The former undrafted free agent was the last member of the 2014 Super Bowl team on the roster.
Which Teams Would Be A Good Fit?
The veteran kicker struggled with his power in his career. McManus had made only 54.2% of his field goal attempts from 50 or more yards before last season. However, he converted 61.5% from that distance in 2022. Yet, the veteran kicker had multiple made field goals from 55 or more yards away in his career, including a career-high 61 yards two years ago.
Despite his struggles from 50 or more yards away, McManus should find a new home this offseason. Multiple teams in the NFL would love to have an established kicker like the former Bronco on their roster.
One potential landing spot is the Tennessee Titans. Last year the team used three different kickers. Randy Bullock kicked for the Titans most of the year, making 17 of his 20 field goal attempts.
Meanwhile, Caleb Shudak and Josh Lambo each played one game for Tennessee last season. However, Shudak is the only of the three currently on the roster.
Last year the undrafted free agent rookie made three of his four field goal attempts. McManus isn’t an elite kicker, but he would be an upgrade over Shudak.
