Gavin Stone Hit Hard, Lacks Command Monday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone did not have a great return start in Monday's 8-6 win over the Braves. Stone pitched four innings, allowing five runs on five hits (including a three-run home run) and five walks with just one strikeout. The 24-year-old prospect has now made two big-league starts and has a 10.13 ERA with seven walks and two strikeouts in eight IP. The Dodgers are currently dealing with a number of injuries in their rotation, so he should see at least a few more starts. Things will not get easier for him in his next projected matchup at the Rays. Stone certainly holds fantasy value in dynasty leagues, but he should not be trusted in re-draft leagues at this time.
