Ryan Blaney Fastest On Long Run In Practice For All Star Race
2 years agoTo be successful and challenge for the $1 million win in the All Star Race at North Wilkesboro on Sunday night, it's going to require your car to have long-run speed--and that's exactly what Ryan Blaney showed during practice this weekend. Blaney's #12 Ford had the best 20-, 25-, and 30-lap average of anyone in the field. However, being fast in practice is a lot different than being fast during the race itself, so it's nowhere near a guarantee that Blaney has the best car for Sunday night. Historically, Blaney has struggled at high-wear race tracks, and the trend continued at Richmond earlier this year--the track that compares most well to North Wilkesboro. Blaney will start from 11th in tonight's All Star Race.
