2 years agoIt seems like every weekend we find Denny Hamlin near the top of the list in on-track speed. Hamlin was able to find himself near the top of the list in every lap at practice. The encouraging thing for the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing driver is that his speed increased over the long runs. This speed is a strong asset for Hamlin, but it will be a liability for the rest of the field. With Hamlin starting the race in the ninth position, he will certainly have an opportunity to get to the front and lead laps in this race.--Eric DeWilde
