Tyler Rogers Records His Second Save Friday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants reliever Tyler Rogers was trusted with the last four outs on Friday to preserve a one-run lead. The left-hander closed the door, throwing a perfect 1.1 innings while striking out a pair to earn his second save of the season. The outing brought Rogers' numbers to an impressive 2.31 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 20.0% strikeout rate through 23.1 innings of work, and he's added eight holds to his ledger. Closer Camilo Doval got his second off day in a row after pitching three straight games from Monday to Wednesday. Fantasy managers should assume Doval will be available on Saturday and Rogers will move back into a set-up role.
