Tommy Edman Exits Early With Lower Abdomen Soreness
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman/outfielder Tommy Edman (abdomen) was removed from Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to lower abdomen soreness. He collided with teammate Lars Nootbaar attempting to catch a fly ball during the third inning. Juan Yepez replaced Edman in his next at-bat. He went 0-for-1 before exiting. The severity of Edman's injury is unknown and is considered day-to-day. Yepez would see an uptick in at-bats if Edman is forced to miss any time. He homered in Thursday's game and is worth a speculative add in deep-league formats while Edman is sidelined.
