Joaquin Niemann In Sneaky Good Form
2 years agoJoaquin Niemann is flying under the radar this week heading to the PGA Championship. The 24-year-old finished T16 at the Masters in the first major of the season and has followed it up by playing some pretty good golf in the LIV Golf League. The Chilean has back-to-back T8 finishes in Singapore and Tulsa. While an eighth place finish in a 48 player field isn't anything crazy, Niemann appears to be trending in the right direction. He has shot -5 or better in four of his past five rounds and looks to be playing with the some serious confidence.

Joaquin Niemann To Continue Playing Well At Valhalla?
11 months agoJoaquin Niemann has been outstanding on the LIV Tour this year. He has seven straight top-25 finishes, including four top-five finishes, two top-10 finishes, and one win. His most recent appearance on the PGA Tour was at the Masters Tournament, where he finished T22. Niemann's performance at the PGA Championship has been mixed; he missed the cut in 2023 but finished T23 in 2022 and T30 in 2021. One important thing to note is that over the last year, Niemann ranks in the 93rd percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough. Niemann could be overlooked this week, but his recent form makes him worth considering for DFS lineups.

Joaquin Niemann Not A Fantasy Option At Augusta
2 years agoJoaquin Niemann comes to The Masters for the first time as a member of LIV Golf in less-than-impressive form. Niemann has finished outside the top-30 on the individual leaderboard in the last two LIV Golf events, and hasn't finished inside the top-10 since LIV Jeddah in October 2022. In his previous starts at The Masters, Niemann has made two of three cuts, but has yet to finish the event inside the top-30. Although Niemann has a very fair DFS price, better value for more established players can be found well under his salary.

Joaquin Niemann A Solid Option
3 years agoJoaquin Niemann enters the second FedEx Cup playoff event playing some very good golf. He finished 13th last week at the FedEx St. Jude, his second top-20 finish in the past three weeks. Niemann has been very dialed in with his irons lately, gaining 5.8 strokes on approach last week alone. With Niemann, the only concern is his around-the-green game. He has lost strokes around the green in three of the last five events. The good news is if Niemann's strong iron play continues, he will not need to lean too much on his short game. Niemann has been extremely consistent and has only missed one cut since February. He is going to be a very popular option in DFS due to his current form and consistency this season. If fantasy managers are willing to eat the chalk, Niemann is a great DFS play and is also worth an outright bet.

Joaquin Niemann Flying Under The Radar
3 years agoJoaquin Niemann has not teed it up since The Open Championship, where he finished in 53rd place. Niemann has been playing some good golf lately, making the cut in nine of his last 10 starts. During that stretch, he has posted three top-20 finishes, including a third-place finish at The Memorial. Niemann has a lot of strengths, his best being his ability off the tee. He ranks 15th in strokes gained off the tee on the PGA Tour this year, proving he is one of the best drivers of the golf ball in the world. Given his recent form, one would think he would be a popular pick to contend this week, but there has been little chatter surrounding him. In DFS, he is reasonably priced and isn't attracting a lot of ownership. Niemann is a very good DFS play and could be a great leverage play in the middle tier. He also is worth backing on the outright market.
