Shohei Ohtani Develops Neck Stiffness Monday
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (neck) said after Monday's 9-5 win over the Orioles that he developed neck stiffness during his start, per SoCal News Group's Jeff Fletcher. Ohtani said, "As of now it feels alright. Gotta see how it feels tomorrow." The two-way star pitched seven innings, allowing five runs on four hits (including three home runs) and two walks with five strikeouts to earn the win. He also went 4-for-5 with two singles, a triple, a three-run home run, and a walk. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and check back tomorrow to see if he is in the lineup. If healthy, he is slated for a rare two-start week with his next game on Sunday against the Twins.
