Kevin Harvick Scores Best Finish Of The Season
2 years agoIn his final year in the NASCAR Cup Series, Kevin Harvick almost got the first victory of his retirement tour. However, he came up just shy after NASCAR went to overtime at the Goodyear 400 from Darlington Raceway. Harvick was on the front row with William Byron to start overtime, but he could not take the lead from Byron. Harvick's No. 4 Ford Mustang suffered front-end damage on a Lap 281 incident, proving difficult to overcome in his attempt to take the lead at the restart. Harvick, who finished second, was pleased with the end result saying, "Struggled in traffic today, but we were really good at the second half of the run and just struggled at the beginning of a run."
