May 14th, 2023 on a Sunday afternoon features the Goodyear 400 from Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. This is the 13th 2023 edition of NASCAR DFS on PrizePicks. Our friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. However, this time, these props will be available on a special Mother's Day edition.
PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, 5-player, or even 6-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win. As for the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, NASCAR DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections.

Every lap led NOW equals an extra 0.25 points. Every fastest clocked lap equals an extra 0.45 points. Laps led are 0.25 points per lap and place differential is plus or minus one point. Also, stage wins are worth one point apiece. For NASCAR, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Fantasy Score and see which players may go over or under their projected point totals. Let's see what the board offers today!

Joey Logano More 42.5 Points.
The numbers look awfully high here but Joey Logano produced last year in a clutch way at Darlington. Lady luck sometimes fails at the most expected times but there lies hope.
Now, could Logano or anyone crash for that matter? The natural answer becomes yes. However, the first last May and the fourth in the Fall give some potential. Add in the fact that Logano starts 15th and there is some place differential room to be had. Maybe the Ford finds a way to lead some laps too.
Kevin Harvick More 44.5 Points.
The choice is challenging only for this reason. Okay, Kevin Harvick starts 20th. A top ten position doles out 34 points. That place differential of +10 adds up to 44 points. So, can he finish ninth, lead a few laps, or come up with a couple fastest laps? Yes, this is all possible. Harvick has six top-ten results and five top-five finishes in the last seven appearances at Darlington.
Again, ninth or better and that is automatically 46 points. That works in our benefit and is always worth taking a shot on this Sunday afternoon.
Kyle Larson More 54.5 Points.
This is like punching the shiny red button over and over again. Kyle Larson simply needs to finish the race. Yesterday, he won the Xfinity race with one fast rocket-like car. His Hendrick Motorsports Racing car is much the same. The longer the run, the more laps Larson might be able to lead. At the least, he could set some fast laps.
The Chevy looked good in practice and Larson qualifying seventh is a bit helpful here. Again, Larson has led 14.1% of the laps while setting fast laps at an even higher rate. Let's roll MORE.
Bubba Wallace Less 19.5 Points.
It is fun when numbers come to one' side. Bubba Wallace has a great car this week. His Toyota nearly won the pole as Martin Truex Jr. edged him out. The problem seems to come later in the race where Wallace races too close to someone and either spins out or crashes. Darlington is one very unforgiving track that way.
Wallace finished ninth in September but the Spring races have been far less kind. A DNF reared its ugly head last May as Wallace failed to tally anything better than 16th previously. The Fall race feels kind of fluky still.
Ty Gibbs MORE 26.5 Points.
Hey, Ty Gibbs has gone 2-for 2 for us this season. Gibbs and his Joe Gibbs Racing car were pretty good at Talladega and even Dover. Also, the No. 54 does start 13th this week at Darlington but it would not take much to get a solid result. Toyota has been fast in these races and was early last year.
Again, the hope is that Gibbs can get up to the front and set up fast laps while maybe leading a few too. Gibbs crashed out last week and should be motivated to rectify what happened. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was running well and has been for the past several weeks.
Other Recommendations:
- William Byron LESS 50.5 Points
- Kyle Busch LESS 44.5 Points
- Christopher Bell LESS 45.5 Points
- Erik Jones MORE 37.5 Points
- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. LESS 19.5 Points
