2 years agoWilliam Byron and his Hendrick Motorsports Chevy loves being out front. The last two appearances at Darlington have seen Byron lead a total of 74 laps. He can run well out front and has some solid longer run speed. Some strategy hurt his chances last year as he fell to 13th and 8th in the races late. However, the No. 24 was a top-five car during the stages. Two years ago, he finished in fourth and nearly won the Goodyear 400. Chevy's qualified third through seventh on Saturday and the Hendrick seemed to have less drop-off than others (about a half second). --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
