Welcome to our PrizePicks NBA DFS prop picks for Wednesday, May 10th, 2023. The 2022-2023 NBA season is rolling along, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of.
PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry, or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option.

Stephen Curry OVER 37.5 Points + Assists
I'll start off the day with Stephen Curry's points and assists prop. Curry has exceeded this projection in two of his last five games, averaging 37.8 PA during that span.
The Golden State Warriors will return to the Chase Center tonight for game five against the Los Angeles Lakers, currently down 3-1. Despite being a huge Laker fan, it'd be foolish for me to believe the Warriors don't take this game at home, and a lot of that is dependent on the best shooter of all time, otherwise known as Curry. The Warriors will need to play at a fast pace to win this game which will give Curry more offensive opportunities. We saw what Curry did in his last win-or-go-home game against the Sacramento Kings, and who says he doesn't do the same thing tonight?
The books like Curry to go over 37.5 PA with -135 odds, while some have him listed at 39.5, giving us a two-point margin! My prop model supports this play, projecting Curry to finish with 40.5 PA. Curry is known for coming back from a 3-1 deficit; let's see what kind of show he puts on for us tonight.
LeBron James OVER 14.5 Rebounds + Assists
Next, I'll be looking at LeBron James' rebounds and assists prop. James has exceeded this line in three of his last five games, averaging 13.4 RA during that span.
James is coming off a great 15 RA performance in a thrilling game-four win at home. In the two games this series that have not blown out, James has seen 40-plus minutes. I expect the Warriors to take this game but I think the Lakers will at least keep it relatively close. I expect the Warriors to play at a faster pace creating more rebounding and assist opportunities for James.
The books have James at -135 odds in favor of going over 14.5 RA, while some have him listed at 15.5 with heavy odds on the under, giving us a one-point margin. Every other DFS app has James at 15 RA, which is the line I expect him to be at, so there is a half-point margin here on Prizepicks. My prop model also supports this play, projecting James for 15.5 rebounds and assists tonight.
Jimmy Butler OVER 12 Rebounds and Assists
I'll finish things off with Jimmy Butler's rebounds and assists prop. Butler has exceeded or pushed this projection in three of his last five games, averaging 12.2 RA during that span.
The Miami Heat currently have a dominating 3-1 lead over the New York Knicks, and most of that is thanks to Butler. The Heat will return to New York tonight, looking to close things out and advance to the eastern semi-finals. I expect the Knicks to keep things super competitive tonight and make it tough for Butler on offense, forcing him to pass more. In a game like this, I expect Butelr to be extra aggressive on the boards and exceed this prop.
The books have Butler listed at 12.5 RA with -130 odds on the under, giving us a half-point margin. Butler has a great push potential with -146 odds to go over 11.5 RA tonight, but I'll take my chances with him going over 12.
Other Recommendations:
- Jalen Brunson OVER 25.5 Points
- Klay Thompson OVER 22.5 Points
- Gabe Vincent OVER 4 Assists
Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
