Aaron Judge Comes Off Injured List, Oswald Peraza Goes On It
2 years agoThe New York Yankees officially reinstated outfielder Aaron Judge (hip) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and placed infield prospect Oswald Peraza (ankle) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 6) in a corresponding move with a right-ankle sprain. The team also recalled right-hander Greg Weissert from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Judge is back after missing under two weeks with a strained right hip. It will obviously be a big boost to the Yankees and fantasy managers. Get him back in all starting lineups immediately. The 31-year-old slugger returns to a .261 average (24-for-92) with five doubles, six home runs and 14 RBI in 26 games. Peraza's ankle injury isn't very serious, so he should be ready to return when eligible on May 16. The 22-year-old has just six hits in 32 at-bats (.188 average) and is still searching for his first home run in 2023.
