Kyle Larson Spins Early, Shines Late
2 years agoKyle Larson had an eventful day at the AdventHealth 400 on Sunday. After only five laps into the race, Tyler Reddick tapped the back of Larson's car during a three-way battle for the lead. The tap caused the No. 5 Chevrolet to go spinning to the apron, but Larson managed to avoid contact with the wall. Larson would battle his way back to the lead during the second stage of the race. Of the record-37 lead changes by 12 different drivers, Larson was in the lead seven different times. He managed to lead a race-high 85 laps. After Denny Hamlin got into the back of Larson, causing him to spin on the last lap, Larson still managed to finish the race in second place.
