Cal Quantrill Throws Seven Shutout Innings Sunday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Cal Quantrill threw seven innings of one-hit ball in a 2-0 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. Quantrill allowed just one hit while striking out four and walking three on the way to picking up the win. The veteran hurler finished with 11 swinging strikes and a 21% CSW in the outing. Quantrill has turned it around after a slow start to the year, having allowed just two runs over his past two starts, spanning 14 1/3 innings of work. Overall, Quantrill has a 2-2 record, 3.89 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts over 39 1/3 innings of work. His next start will be on Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels.
